I'm just popping in to say hello from the road. My husband and I have driven from Kentucky to Texas. Our goal: to see some beautiful National Parks, take pictures, relax, and camp. So far we've been to Guadalupe N.P., Carlsbad Cavern N.P., Big Bend N.P. and are heading out to see a band play at a Texas dance hall.
We've been listening to some fun books on CD while we drive. We finished a funny detective story by Jasper Fforde called The Big Over Easy.

Sporadically I'm reading the new Brunonia Barry novel The Map of True Places. I just love her writing.

I should be back and close to regular scheduled postings in May. Thank you to all my loyal readers for sticking around while I've been M.I.A.!

Awesome travels! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteAmanda, you sound like you are having fun with your travels. Just to let you know I received White Cat on Friday. Thank you so much for sending it me, I can't wait to read it.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe we are seriously considering going to New York in December and now you won't be there.
Have a great journey and can't wait to see you back up and running.
I love bats. I think they are fascinating.
ReplyDeleteCoincidentally I've just posted about some caves I saw on my holiday.
Have a great time for the rest of your holiday.
Fun travels. Yay.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think of Whiskey Rebels? I liked it; it was a bit different than I anticipated.
Looks like you're having a blast and reading fabulous books!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fantastic trip!
ReplyDeleteBeen to Carlsbad Caverns -- I remember eating in a cafeteria cut into the rock. It was cool. (It was also almost 35 years ago so I don't remember much besides the cafeteria.)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great time. I hope the fun is continuing and look forward to hearing about your new adventures in your new home state.
