Should I Stop?

Has anyone read this book? I picked it up at the library the other day because it's been on my TBR list...mainly because I love the title, it's historical fiction, and it's about coffee...mmm.

But within the first 50 pages I thought there was a bit too much unnecessary sexual stuff. But, you know, the protagonist is a guy in late 1800's London...so... But at about page 70-something there was a fart joke. Ok. Enough is enough.

So have any of you read this? Is it worth it to continue on or should I quit while I'm ahead?

  1. Lots of sexual stuff and juvenile humor? If the rest of the story hasn't picked up yet I would be tempted to leave it alone. Maybe skim a few pages to see if it picks up. I haven't heard of this one,but the cover would have caught my eye.

  2. I haven't read it but if you are already contemplating quitting, I'd just quit and be done with it. Life is too short to be aggrevated by fart jokes and sexual unnecessaries.

  3. Seriously, far jokes? Yep, throw it against the wall and be glad you didn't pay for it!
