1001 Books to Read Before You Die

There is a book that's come out recently called 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die.

Now I have so many books that I want to read that it's pretty hard for me to be told what I should read. But I was curious to see if any of the books I've read are on there and how I rate them...do I think they are must-read quality?

While there are a few I absolutely do not like, such as Animal Farm and Life of Pi, most of the ones I've read I've loved! And there's a lot more I've been meaning to read. So I decided to challenge myself by seeing if I can read some of these titles. Periodically I will come back and add more and see how I do :)

The linked or bold ones are the ones I've read.

Stats:
Read:80
Bonus: 1
Total:81
Percentage of 1001: 7.99%

***There are a few more new additions to the original 1001 list.  I will be adding these as bonus points and adding them to my list as well.

  3. If you're interested, there's a brand new version of Arukiyomi's 1001 books spreadsheet. Along with some cool new features, there are lists of both the revised 1001 books and those that were removed from the new 2008 list.

To get your free copy of the spreadsheet, head over to Arukiyomi's blog.

    Happy reading!
