I've read Bram Stoker's Dracula years ago of course and I bought myself a copy last year with the most gorgeous cover. My most favourite vamp story ever is The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova, which seems to be popular here! Not for everyone but one of my on my top 5 best books ever list. I've seen many positive reviews for Dracula In Love in bloglandia and would love to win a copy. I love novels that trend toward the gothic and have strong female characters. I own a copy of Leonardo's Swans...I really should read that book.

http://myobsessionwithbooks.blogspot.com/
obsessedwithbooks(at)shaw(dot)ca

Thanks for the contest!nicchichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10830844314164740452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734477124047219201.post-81009363999522281532010-08-06T12:16:42.909-07:002010-08-06T12:16:42.909-07:00I love vampires and vampire books! I wrote my novel DRACULA, MY LOVE because I truly believe that Mina and Dracula were involved in an intense, secret, passionate romance that even Bram Stoker didn't realize was going on between the pages of his classic novel. I'd LOVE to win a copy of Karen Essex's book so that I can see how she handled a similar topic.

If you're interested in reading my view of Mina's story, there are lots of FREE online giveaways of my book DRACULA, MY LOVE. I've heard so much about this novel and am ready to take it on -- there's just something about the "real" Dracula story that just gets me going, and I was such a fan of The Historian as well, that this book would be right up my alley!!

http://coffeeandabookchick.blogspot.com
coffeeandabookchick (at) blogspot (dot) com

Ooh, ooh, pick me!!Natalie~Coffee and a Book Chickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12369504951819517390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734477124047219201.post-49834817356330024502010-08-04T16:50:42.417-07:002010-08-04T16:50:42.417-07:00I would love to read this because I love Dracula (...I would love to read this because I love Dracula (and it has a pretty cover). Really. I read Dracula in high school and fell in love with Renfield... well in love with his character not, like, in love in love. I also loved the ship scene-- super creepy! The movie with Winona and Hopkins was also pretty cool aside from Keanu's numbing performance. ;p I liked him much better in Bill & Ted's. Have you read The Historian? Not too shabby of a story, either!
